Pond View Farm specializes in creating a full spectrum of
services for every level of rider. Private, semi-private,
and group lessons are offered in Hunter, Jumper and Dressage.
All of our instructors are licensed by the State of Massachusetts,
and either specialize in children's lessons or actively compete
in their specific disciplines on a national level.
Tracey Amaral was born in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. She started
her riding career at the age of four, riding the dirt roads
of Chappaquidick on a Shetland pony. Tracey has since dedicated
her life to the knowledge of horses. She attended Becker College,
majoring in Veterinary Technology, and brings to the Vineyard
a sophisticated understanding of equine health and management.
As a rider she has spent her time specializing in dressage.
She has ridden under the tutelage of instructors such as Grand
Prix riders Sarah Geike, Gerd Reuter, and Olympic alternate
Jane Savoie. For six years she managed the training facility
of Grand Prix rider Kelli Kinney, riding, teaching and competing
throughout the East Coast. She has never allowed her participation
in the horse world to be limited in its scope. Recognizing
a need to be well rounded in her exposure, Tracey has spent
a considerable amount of time in the hunter and jumper world.
She has worked with Olympic show jumping Silver Medallist
Peter Leone, and renowned hunter rider Valerie Renihan, combining
her flatwork with jumping. She rode hunters, jumpers and equitation
horses for Blue Heron Farm during the 2002 Winter Equestrian
Festival in Palm Beach Florida.
true passion has evolved now that she has returned to
the Vineyard to operate Pond View Farm. She creates
an atmosphere where all horse lovers can learn in a
relaxed environment. She takes great pleasure in sharing
her knowledge with all riders, children and adults,
in a very "user friendly" manner. She has
not forgotten her roots on Martha's Vineyard, and
enjoys developing a love of horses in everyone she teaches.
